Macedonia: U.S. Supports Efforts to Establish Cease-fire

The Unites States remains concerned over events in Macedonia. We believe that a vital objective now is to establish a cease-fire. With good will on all sides, we believe this is achievable.

EU High Representative Solana is now in Skopje seeking agreement for a cease-fire. We are in close contact with him and strongly support his efforts.
