The United States congratulates the Bahraini people on the completion of the recent National Charter Referendum. By expressing their views on the political reforms in the charter, Bahraini men and women took a positive step in the direction of democracy. We are pleased that the voting took place peacefully and apparently enthusiastically, and congratulate the Bahraini people on the results of the referendum.
