Special Briefing on Sudan

Special Envoy for Peace in Sudan Senator John Danforth will brief the press today, November 27, 2001, on his recent travel to Sudan. Senator Danforth's ON THE RECORD/ON CAMERA briefing will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the State Department Press Briefing Room, Room 2209, at the Department of State.

Press who wish to attend this briefing should arrive at the State Department's 23rd Street entrance and must present either (1) a US Government-issued (State Department, Foreign Press Center, White House, Congress, Department of Defense) photo media identification card, (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter on media organization letterhead stating the individual is employed to cover the State Department, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport).
