New Time For The Briefing On AfghanistanOn Friday, December 7, at 1:30 p.m., Richard Haass, Director of Policy Planning and US Coordinator for the Future of Afghanistan and Ambassador James Dobbins, US Special Representative to the Afghan Opposition, will hold an on the record, on camera briefing on the final agreement of Afghan representatives reached in Bonn. The briefing will be held in the Department of State's Press Briefing Room (2209).
Press who wish to attend this briefing should arrive at the State Department's 23rd Street entrance and must present either (1) a US Government-issued (State Department, Foreign Press Center, White House, Congress, Department of Defense) photo media identification card, (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter on media organization letterhead stating the individual is employed to cover the State Department, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport).
