Question: Are we aware of any new Russian sales to Iran of material that raise proliferation concerns? Has this administration held any discussions with Russia about our non-proliferation concerns?
Answer:
- The U.S. Government continues to maintain a high-level dialogue with Russia on critical nonproliferation matters such as nuclear and missile cooperation.
- It is an important dimension to our mutual non-proliferation responsibilities and security interests.
- We have made clear that the change of administration has not diminished U.S. concern about Iran.
