India: Telling the Indians About Our Authorized Departure Decision

Question:

When and where did Indian authorities find out about the authorized departure status and who in the Indian government did the U.S. tell?

Answer:

The Department’s South Asia Bureau informed the Indian Embassy in Washington early this morning of our decision to authorize voluntary departure of non-emergency personnel and dependents at our Embassy and Consulates in India.
