After September 11: Images from Ground Zero Capitol Hill Exhibit Opening

Congressman Henry J. Hyde, joined by Assistant Secretary for Educational and Cultural Affairs Patricia S. Harrison, will host the opening of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs photographic exhibit, "After September 11: Images from Ground Zero" on Monday, September 9, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Foyer (first floor) of the Rayburn House Office Building.

The opening ceremonies will include remarks by Congressman Henry Hyde, Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Charlotte Beers, Assistant Secretary for Educational and Cultural Affairs Patricia Harrison, and Captain Dan Daly of the New York City Fire Department.

This will be the first opportunity for the Congressional community and the American public to view this dramatic 27-photograph exhibit. By the end of this year, the exhibit will have traveled to 135 cities in 64 countries.

This event is open for press coverage. Media should arrive no later than 1:30 p.m.
