Sri Lanka: Meeting Between Deputy Secretary Armitage and Economic Reform, Science and Technology Minister Moragoda

Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage and Sri Lankan Minister for Economic Reform, Science and Technology Milinda Moragoda met today to discuss the recently concluded first round of peace talks between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.  Minister Moragoda was co-leader of the Sri Lankan delegation to the talks. 

Noting the international humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka is imperative, Deputy Secretary Armitage and Minister Moragoda explored the idea of a donors' conference in support of national reconstruction.
