| Notice to the Press Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC October 23, 2002 Secretary Powell and Foreign Minister Castaqeda Participate Tonight in Voices of the Future for APECSecretary of State Colin L. Powell and Mexican Foreign Secretary Jorge Castaņeda will participate today in an interactive discussion with students called Voices of the Future for APEC in Los Cabos, Mexico. Both leaders will answer Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)-related questions posed by high school and college age students at the interactive site and at remote locations throughout the Americas. The approximately 50 students in the live audience are from Mexico, the United States, and other APEC Member Economies, including Brunei, Malaysia, China, Japan, Russia, Thailand, Chile and Canada. They have traveled to Los Cabos to participate in this special multimedia interview program at the APEC conference, during which they will speak with various officials: Foreign and Economic Ministers, Heads of State, and more than 50 Ambassadors and CEOs.
