Background Briefing on Secretary Colin L. Powell's Trip to the Bi-National Commission Meetings in Mexico

This Thursday, November 21, at 3:30 pm, there will be a background briefing with a Senior State Department Official on the Secretary's upcoming trip to Mexico for the U.S.-Mexico Bi-National Commission.

The briefing will be held in the State Department Press Briefing Room (Room 2209), 2201 “C” Street, Washington, DC. Press should arrive at the 23rd Street Entrance to the building by 3:15. This briefing is on background only. No cameras are allowed.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of either (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a photo ID issued by the employing media organization, or (3) a letter on official letterhead from their news organization verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo ID (drivers’ license or passport).
