Background on The Role of Diplomacy in Confronting the Global HIV/AIDS PandemicToday, Monday, December 2, at 2:00 p.m., there will be a background briefing with a Senior State Department Official on the role of diplomacy in confronting HIV/AIDS globally, efforts undertaken to date and the future outlook for addressing the pandemic.
The briefing will be held in the State Department Press Briefing Room (Room 2209) 2201 “C” Street, Washington, DC. Press who intend to cover the briefing should enter through the 23rd Street Entrance of the State Department’s Harry S Truman Building.
Media representatives may cover this event upon presentation of either (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a photo ID issued by the employing media organization, or (3) a letter on official letterhead from their news organization verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo ID (drivers’ license or passport).
