Under Secretary of State Alan Larson to Brief on the International Conference for Reconstruction Assistance to Afghanistan

Under Secretary of State for Economic, Business and Agricultural Affairs Alan P. Larson will brief the press on the record and on camera on Friday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. to discuss the US role in the International Conference for Reconstruction Assistance to Afghanistan which was held last week in Tokyo. The briefing will be held in the State Department’s Carl T. Rowan Press Briefing Room. Press interested in attending should arrive at the 23rd Street entrance.

Media representatives may cover this event upon presentation of either (1) a U.S. government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a photo ID issued by the employing media organization, or (3) a letter on official letterhead from their news organization verifying their employment as a journalists, accompanied by an official photo ID (driver’s license or passport).
