Secretary of State Colin L. Powell to Address the National Academy of Sciences - April 30

Secretary of State Colin L. Powell will address the National Academy of Sciences Annual Meeting at The National Academies, 2101 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20418, on Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Members of the Academy, distinguished American scientists, and a number of foreign associates will attend the speech.

The Secretary’s address is open for press coverage.

Press entrance: 2100 C Street, NW

(across the street from State Department C street entrance).

Pre-set time for cameras 9:00 a.m.

Final access for all press 9:45a.m.

Media representatives may cover this event upon presentation of either (1) a US Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a photo ID issued by the employing media organization, or (3) a letter on official letterhead from their news organization verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo ID (driver’s license or passport).
