| Media Note Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC February 25, 2003 National Black History Month CelebrationToday's Youth: Tomorrow's LeadersIn celebration of Black History Month, the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Civil Rights and the Foreign Affairs Recreation Association’s State of the Arts Cultural Series are co-sponsoring a program to honor the accomplishments of African-Americans in our nation’s history. The program will be held in the State Department’s Dean Acheson Auditorium at 2201 C Street, NW, Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, February 26, 2003, from 12 to 1 p.m. The theme is “Today’s Youth: Tomorrow’s Leaders.”
The Paul Laurence Dunbar Senior High School’s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Color Guard and Drill Team along with the Eugene Burroughs Middle School Concert Choir are the guest performers. Kinisha Forbes, a classical pianist from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., will perform several classical piano selections.
