| Media Note Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC April 16, 2003 The U.S. Department of State's 2003 Hispanic Business ConferenceThe U.S. Department of State is hosting a Hispanic Business Conference on Monday, May 19 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. to discuss ways in which commercial links between Latin American, U.S. Hispanic business leaders and economic decision-makers can be strengthened.
Secretary of the Treasury John Snow, Secretary of Commerce Donald Evans, U.S. Trade Representative Robert B. Zoellick and Small Business Administrator Hector Barreto will join Secretary of State Colin L. Powell at the conference.
Conference participants will examine and encourage market opportunities in Latin America through export promotion and how to contribute to the creation of an environment that welcomes foreign direct investment and leads to good governance.
