| Notice to the Press Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC April 29, 2003 Secretary Powell to Make Statement on Annual Terrorism ReportSecretary of State Colin L. Powell will deliver an on-the-record statement concerning the release of the Department's annual report "Patterns of Global Terrorism: 2002" on Wednesday, April 30 at 10:45 a.m. in the press briefing room.
Immediately following the Secretary's statement, there will be an on-the-record press briefing about the terrorism report by Ambassador Cofer Black, the Coordinator for Counterterrorism.
Hard copies and CD-ROMs of the terrorism report will be available to members of the press beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Press Office, Room 2109, on Wednesday, April 30 and will be embargoed until the conclusion of Ambassador Black's press briefing. The report will also be available on the web at www.state.gov when the briefing has concluded.
Media representatives may cover this briefing upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a US Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center); (2) a photo ID issued by the employing media organization; or (3) a letter on official letterhead from employing organization verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo ID (valid driver's license or passport).
Media representatives should use the 23rd Street entrance (between D and C Streets) and arrive at least 10 minutes before the briefing start time. |
