Earthquake in Turkey

The United States extends its deepest sympathies to all those affected by the earthquake that struck the city of Bingol in eastern Turkey earlier today, especially the families and friends of the victims.

Our embassy in Ankara remains in close contact with Turkish authorities as they respond to the disaster. At this time, we are not aware of any U.S. citizens injured or killed in the earthqu
