Background Briefing in Advance of Upcoming Six-Party Talks in Beijing

A senior administration official will brief the press on background on Friday, August 22 at 11:45 a.m. in advance of the upcoming six-party talks in Beijing. The briefing will be held in the Department of State Press Briefing Room (2209).

Members of the press who do not have a State Department building pass should arrive at the 23rd Street entrance by 11:30 a.m. for access to the briefing room.

Media representatives may cover this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center); (2) a photo ID issued by employing media organization; or (3) a letter on official letterhead from employing organization verifying employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo ID (driver’s license or passport).
