Venezuela's Minister of Education, Aristobolo Isturiz, at the Department of State

Question:    Who in the State Department met with the Venezuelan Minister of Education today?

Answer:   Venezuelan Minister Isturiz met today with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Peter DeShazo, concerning the results of the Organization of American States Education Ministerial, which was held in Mexico from August 11 - 13. They also discussed the Venezuelan electoral process, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State DeShazo told the Venezuelan minister that we welcome the naming of a provisional National Electoral Council.
