| Notice to the Press Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC September 17, 2003 Briefing on Afghanistan, Thursday, September 18 at 11:00 a.m.
Ambassador William Taylor, State Department Coordinator for Afghanistan, will offer an on-the-record and on-camera press briefing at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2003, in the State Department’s Press Briefing Room (2209). The briefing will present further details on U.S. and international efforts to fund Afghanistan’s reconstruction in advance of the opening in Dubai on September 21 of the World Bank-International Monetary Fund-sponsored Donors’ Conference for that country. Media representatives who plan to attend this briefing must present one of the following press credentials: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport). |
