Department of State Employees Serving in Iraq

2003/1134

Question:   How many Department of State employees are in Iraq today? How high do we expect this number to get?

Answer:   Currently there are approximately 60 Department of State employees in Iraq. They include both Foreign and Civil Service employees.

The number will fluctuate as the Department responds to specific staffing requests from the Coalition Provisional Authority .
