Secretary of State Colin L. Powell to Deliver Address at Princeton University's George F. Kennan Centennial Conference

Secretary of State Colin L. Powell will deliver the opening address at Princeton University's upcoming George F. Kennan Centennial Conference on the morning of February 20, 2004. While Secretary Powell is at Princeton, he will also be presented with the inaugural Crystal Tiger Award for serving as an "agent of progress."

The conference is being organized by Princeton's Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library and will feature academics, diplomats and journalists discussing the Cold War, its end and the future of American diplomacy. The University is planning the daylong conference in honor of Mr. Kennan's 100th birthday. Mr. Kennan was a member of Princeton's class of 1925 and a pre-eminent diplomat.
