Iran Nonproliferation Act Sanctions

Question:   Has the U.S. discussed with government officials of China, Belarus, Macedonia, North Korea, Russia, Taiwan, and UAE authorities the sanctions imposed on companies based in their countries?

Answer:   The U.S. is informing respective government officials and the Taiwan authorities of the sanctions decision.

Question:   What is the period of time for which these sanctions are valid?

Answer:   The sanctions are imposed for a two-year period and will expire on March 31, 2006.
