Inter-Korea Military Talks

Question:   How does the U.S. view the offer by North Korea to hold high-level military talks with South Korea?

Answer:   The United States supports North-South dialogue as an essential part of the process of reconciliation on the Korean peninsula. We hope that the military talks will promote prospects for a reduction in tensions on the peninsula.
