| Notice to the Press Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC January 3, 2005 Briefing on Global Anti-Semitism ReportActing Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, Ambassador Michael Kozak, and the Special Envoy for Holocaust Issues, Ambassador Edward O’Donnell, will brief the press on the Global Anti-Semitism Report on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 2:30 pm. This on the record, on camera briefing will be held in the State Department Press Briefing Room (Room 2209). The report will be available at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning in hardcopy and CD format in the Press Office and online at www.state.gov.
Public Law 108-332, signed by the president on October 16, 2004, mandated this report. Since the late enactment of this legislation did not permit time to meet the November 15 report specified in the law, the Department and Congressional leaders agreed that the report would be due by the end of 2004.
Members of the press who do not have a State Department building pass should arrive at the 23rd Street entrance by 2:15 p.m. for clearance through security and access to the briefing room.
Media representatives may attend this briefing upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
