Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Arrival at the Department of State and Remarks and Meet and Greet with Employees in the C Street Lobby

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will arrive for her first day as Secretary of State at 8:15am, on Thursday, January 27, at the entrance on C Street. Following her arrival, she will make brief remarks and have a meet and greet with State Department Employees inside the C Street Lobby.

This event is open for press coverage. Please note that reporters and photographers who are outside the lobby will NOT be allowed to enter the lobby after the Secretary’s arrival. Media outlets that want to cover both the arrival and the remarks will need to have cameras or reporters pre-set at both sites. Press Logistic: Press Entrance C Street

Media representatives who plan to attend must present one of the following press credentials: (1) a U.S. government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on original letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
