Background Briefing on the U.S. Agenda at the UNCHRSenior State Department officials will brief the press on the United States agenda for the United Nations Commission on Human Rights annual meeting in Geneva at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 18 in the Department of State’s Press Briefing Room.
This briefing will be on-background. Members of the press who do not have a State Department building pass should arrive at the 23rd Street entrance by 10:45 a.m. for clearance through security and access to the briefing room.
Media representatives may attend this briefing upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
