Foreign Service Officer Tobin Bradley Selected as 2005 Service to America Medal Winner with presenter John Negroponte, Director of National Intelligence
Foreign Service Officer Tobin Bradley selected as 2005 Service to America Medal Winner with presenter John Negroponte, Director of National Intelligence.
The Department of State congratulates Tobin Bradley, a Foreign Service Officer currently serving as a Special Assistant to the Under Secretary for Political Affairs, for being awarded the prestigious Service to America International Affairs Medal for 2005, based on his outstanding contributions as Political Advisor for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq. Under dangerous circumstances, Mr. Bradley organized 15 local elections in southern Iraq and developed a voting system that the UN used as the basis for the January 2005 national elections.

He will be honored along with eight other award recipients tonight at a dinner and awards ceremony at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC. The Mellon Auditorium is located at 1301 Constitution Avenue NW.

Tonight’s reception and award ceremony is open to the press. Times are as follows:

5:30 p.m. Camera Set-Up Time
6:30 p.m. Reception
7:30 p.m. Awards Ceremony

Service to America Medals were created in 2002 by the Partnership for Public Service, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization committed to recruiting and retaining excellence in the federal civil service, and the Atlantic Media Company, publisher of The Atlantic Monthly, National Journal, and Government Executive magazines.
