Special Press Briefing to Preview Forum for the Future

On Wednesday, November 9 at 12:30 p.m., Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Fried and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs and Coordinator for Broader Middle East and North Africa Initiatives Liz Cheney will brief the press to preview the upcoming Forum for the Future, to be held in Manama, Bahrain on November 11-12, 2005.

This briefing will take place in the State Department’s Press Briefing Room (2209) and will be on-the-record and on camera.

Media representatives may attend this briefing upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
