Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Address U.S. University Presidents Summit on International Education

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings will host a reception and dinner for the U.S. University Presidents Summit on International Education. The event will take place on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. in the Benjamin Franklin Room at the U.S. Department of State Harry S Truman Building, located at 2201 C St. NW, Washington, DC. Secretary Rice will make remarks before the dinner at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The Secretary’s remarks are open for writers; there will be pool coverage for cameras and stills.

Final access time for writers: 7:00 p.m. from the C Street Entrance

Media representatives attending this event must present one of the following: (1) a U.S. government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from his or her employer on letterhead verifying employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
