Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Open Centennial Annual Meeting of the American Society of International Law

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will open the American Society of International Law’s (ASIL) 100th annual meeting on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at 4:30 p.m. This session of the historic meeting is open for press coverage and will take place in Ballroom II of the Fairmont Hotel, 2401 M Street, NW, Washington, DC.

The program, titled, "A Conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice", will feature other panelists, including Retired Justice Sandra Day O’ Connor, International Court of Justice Judge Rosalyn Higgins, and ASIL President-Elect and Columbia Law School Professor Jose Alvarez.

Pre-set time for cameras and stills: 3:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Final access time for all press: 4:00 p.m.

Media must register at check-in table before entering the event through Ballroom I.
