Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen Hughes to Travel to Benin and South Africa

Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen Hughes will travel to Benin and South Africa from April 4 through April 10. She will visit Cotonou, Porto Novo and Cape Town.

In Benin, Under Secretary Hughes will represent the United States at the inauguration of President Bono Yayi on April 6. While in South Africa, Under Secretary Hughes will meet with senior government officials, students, community leaders and non-governmental organizations.
