Meeting of the Advisory Committee on Transformational Diplomacy, June 6, 2006

An open meeting of the Advisory Committee on Transformational Diplomacy will be held on Tuesday, June 6, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in Room 6320, U.S. Department of State, 2201 C Street, NW, Washington, D.C. The Under Secretary of State for Management, Henrietta Fore, will chair the meeting, which will be open to the public up to the capacity of the meeting room. The meeting will discuss various issues relating to current global geographic repositioning and managing a global enterprise.

Persons who wish to have their views considered are encouraged to submit written comments in advance of the meeting. Comments may be sent electronically to Royc@state.gov.

Entry to the main State Department building is controlled and will require advance arrangements. Members of the public wishing to attend this meeting should, by Thursday, June 1, 2006, notify the Office of Management Policy (telephone: 202-647-0093) of their name, date of birth; citizenship (country); ID number, i.e., U.S. government ID (agency), U.S. military ID (branch), passport (country), or drivers license (state); professional affiliation, address and telephone number in order to arrange admittance. This includes admittance for government employees as well as others.

In addition, the Committee will meet in closed session from 8:30 a.m. until (approximately )10:00 a.m. and for a short period in the afternoon in order to receive classified briefings and to discuss classified information and proprietary commercial and financial information that is considered privileged and confidential. These portions of the meeting will be closed to the public pursuant to Section 10 (d) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act and 5 U.S.C. 552b [c] [1] and 552b [c] [4].

All attendees must use the "C" Street entrance of the Department, after being screened through the exterior screening facilities. One of the following valid IDs will be required for admittance: any U.S. driver’s license with photo, a passport, or a U.S. Government agency ID. Because an escort is required at all times, attendees should expect to remain in the meeting for the entire session.
