| Media Note Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC June 13, 2006 2006 World Food Prize Winners To Be AnnouncedUnder Secretary Josette Sheeran Shiner will host the 2006 World Food Prize Laureate Announcement in the State Department’s Benjamin Franklin Room on Thursday, June 15 at 12:00. Nobel Laureate Norman Borlaug, also known as "Father of the Green Revolution" and founder of the World Food Prize, will join Under Secretary Sheeran Shiner and others on stage to announce and recognize this year’s winners. After the ceremony, representatives from the World Food Prize, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the winning nominees’ countries will be on hand for individual press interviews.
