Anniversary of Bombing of U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania

On August 7, 1998 terrorists bombed the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania killing over 220 innocent people and wounding over 4,000 more. Today, on the anniversary of this attack we remember those who were lost and again offer our condolences to their families. The United States will not rest until all those responsible for this terrible act are brought to justice. We will continue to stand with Kenya, Tanzania and our other international partners in fighting the global war on terror.
