Assistant Secretary Hillen’s Visit to Oman, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates

Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs John Hillen, accompanied by Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Peter Rodman and other senior officials from the Department of State, the National Security Council, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and U.S. Central Command, will visit Oman, Bahrain and the UAE from October 16 to October 20.

The purpose of Assistant Secretary Hillen’s visit is to enhance regional security, non proliferation and defense cooperation with some of our long-standing friends and allies in the Gulf.
