Negroponte and President Guebuza of the Republic of Mozambique to Sign $507 Million Millennium Challenge CompactDeputy Secretary of State John D. Negroponte will give remarks at the signing of the Millennium Challenge Compact between the United States and the Republic of Mozambique, on Friday, July 13, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., in the Benjamin Franklin Room, of the Department of State.
Mozambican President Armando Guebuza and MCC Chief Executive Officer Ambassador John Danilovich will also make remarks. The $507 million Compact will be signed by Ambassador Danilovich and Mozambican Minister of Development and Planning Aiuba Cuereneia. This event will be open to the press. Pre-set time for cameras: 9:15 a.m. from the 23rd Street entrance. Final access time for all press: 9:45 a.m. from the 23rd Street entrance.
