| Media Note Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC June 1, 2007 U.S. NGO Advisors at the OSCE Conference in Europe, June 7-8, 2007 in Bucharest, RomaniaThe following non-governmental organization representatives have been named as advisors to the United States delegation to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe's (OSCE) Conference June 7-8 in Bucharest, Romania: The U.S. delegation is led by United States Representative Eric Cantor from the State of Virginia. United States Representative Chris Smith from the State of New Jersey will serve as Co-Chair of the delegation. Other U.S. delegates are Imam Talal Eid, Islamic Institute of Boston; Ambassador Julie Finley, U.S. Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe; Mr. Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Director of the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations; Dr. Richard Land, President of the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission; Dr. Deborah Lipstadt, Professor of Modern Jewish History and Holocaust Studies at Emery University; Mr. Jeremy Katz, Special Assistant to the President of the United States for Policy; Mr. J. Christian Kennedy, the U.S. Special Envoy on Holocaust Issues; Dr. Gregg Rickman, the U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism. This event will focus on practical steps to combat intolerance, building upon the 2005 Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Conference on Anti-Semitism and on Other Forms of Intolerance in Cordoba, Spain.
