After the establishment of the Partnership, the two governments witnessed dynamic cooperation among universities, non-governmental organizations, and educators in both countries. In particular, the Ministry of Education of Brazil and the U.S. Department of Education jointly established the U.S.-Brazil Higher Education Consortia Program, fostering university partnerships. Over the course of the Partnership, our two countries have held binational dialogues bringing together senior education officials to discuss topics of mutual interest. Over 500 people from both countries participated in exchange programs ranging from seminars and workshops to in-depth consultations by education experts. Under the provisions of the memorandum of understanding, the two countries will continue cooperation, engage with stakeholders, and coordinate each government's contributions in the area of education. 2007/248
