| Media Note Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC November 14, 2007 Meeting Of the Advisory Committee on International Economic PolicyThe Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy (ACIEP) will meet on Wednesday, December 5, at 2:00 p.m. in Room 1105 of the Harry S. Truman Building. The meeting will last until approximately 3:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
The meeting will be hosted by Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs (EEB) Daniel S. Sullivan and Committee Chairman R. Michael Gadbaw. The Committee serves the U.S. Government in a solely advisory capacity, and provides advice concerning current issues and challenges in international economic policy. Topics for this meeting include the Economic, Energy and Business Affairs Bureau’s mission of total economic engagement, and a regional focus on Latin America, the pending U.S. free trade agreements with Colombia, Peru, Panama and Korea, and Subcommittee updates, reports and discussion of Economic Sanctions and Economic Empowerment in Strategic Regions. The public may attend this meeting as seating capacity allows. Admittance to the State Department building will be by means of a pre-arranged clearance list.
