The three recent arrests, including the November 12 arrests of former Khmer Rouge foreign minister Ieng Sary, and his wife, former social affairs minister Ieng Thirith and the November 19 arrest of former Khmer Rouge leader Khieu Samphan, are welcome steps for the Tribunal, and we await the outcome of the proceedings with great interest. 2007/1023 |
