Support for New Chadian Cabinet That Includes Opposition

We welcome the announcement of a new Chadian cabinet that includes respected members of the political opposition. We are encouraged by Prime Minister Abbas’s call for peaceful dialogue. The United States also urges full implementation of the recent Dakar Accord and continued engagement of the Contact Group to reduce tensions and promote better relations between Chad and Sudan.
