Question: Who did Deputy Secretary Steinberg meet with today in Serbia?

Answer: Deputy Secretary James B. Steinberg was in Serbia April 7 and 8 for meetings with President Tadic, First Deputy Prime Minister Dacic, and representatives of Serbian civil society. Following on Vice President Biden’s travel to the region last May, the Deputy Secretary re-affirmed the Vice-President’s commitment to support Serbia as it makes progress towards European integration, work with the Government in Belgrade to foster stability in the region, and encourage practical cooperation with Kosovo.
