Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Richard C. Holbrooke will travel to Germany, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, and the United Kingdom July 15-July 22.
In Germany on July 15, Special Representative Holbrooke will meet with counterparts and government officials.
In Pakistan from July 16-19, he will attend a meeting of the Friends of Democratic Pakistan and participate in a Strategic Dialogue session to reinforce the close partnership between the United States and Pakistan.
In Afghanistan on July 20, he will attend the Kabul Conference, co-chaired by the Government of Afghanistan and the United Nations, to reinforce U.S. support for the Afghan Government’s plans to assume lead responsibility for security and development.
Special Representative Holbrooke will also travel to India and the United Kingdom where he will have additional meetings with counterparts and government officials.
