Director of Policy Planning Dr. Anne-Marie Slaughter will participate in an event on sustaining U.S. achievements in global health co-sponsored by the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Washington Global Health Alliance on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. PDT.
Dr. Slaughter will detail how the President’s six-year $63 billion Global Health Initiative (GHI) is advancing and where global health fits into U.S. foreign policy priorities.
Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire, NGO representatives and other national officials will also participate in the event.
