Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will deliver a statement on the flooding in Pakistan on Wednesday, August 4 at 10:10 a.m., at the Department of State.
Secretary Clinton’s statement will be open to credentialed members of the media.
Pre-set time for video cameras: 9:15 a.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance.
Final access time for journalists and still photographers: 9:45 a.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance.
Secretary Clinton previously issued a written statement on the flooding on August 1.
The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad issued a statement on U.S. efforts to raise money for emergency relief in Pakistan using the latest communications technologies. By texting the word SWAT to telephone number 50555, U.S. cellular phone users will be able to donate $10 to help flood victims in Pakistan through the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
