Ambassador CdeBaca to Address the NDAA's Cntr for Prosecution of Child Abuse National Conference

Ambassador Luis CdeBaca will deliver the keynote address at the National District Attorney Association’s Center for Prosecution of Child Abuse’s national conference on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11:15 a.m. EDT. Ambassador CdeBaca, who leads the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the U.S. Department of State, will discuss the United States’ ‘whole of government approach’ to combat trafficking and key recommendations found in the 2010 Trafficking in Persons Report.

The conference is being held at the Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center in National Harbor, MD. Media interested in covering this event should contact the National District Attorneys Association at (703) 549-9222.

Ambassador CdeBaca was appointed by President Obama to direct the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the Department of State, where he serves as a Senior Advisor to Secretary Clinton and leads the United States’ global fight against contemporary forms of slavery. The Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (G/TIP) develops and implements the State Department’s policy for the protection of trafficking victims, prosecution of traffickers, and prevention of trafficking.
