Special Press Briefing: Pakistan Flood Relief Update

Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Dan Feldman, Acting Director of the USAID Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance Mark Ward, and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement William McGlynn will brief the press on Monday, August 23, at 1:00 p.m. in the Carl T. Rowan Press Briefing Room (# 2209) of the U.S. Department of State.

The briefing will include:

  • A read-out of Deputy Special Representative Feldman’s recent trip to Pakistan
  • An update of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement’s contribution to flood relief efforts and assistance.

This event is open to the press.

Press should use the 23rd Street entrance to the State Department and must be processed through security by 12:35 p.m.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification card (driver's license, passport).
