Ambassador Luis CdeBaca will deliver remarks to the St. Thomas University School of Law’s Forum on the “Fourth P”: Combating Trafficking in Persons through Public Private Partnerships on Monday, September 13 at 9:45 a.m. in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Ambassador CdeBaca joins Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, representatives from the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, St. Thomas University School of Law, and nongovernmental organizations in participating in this forum.

Appointed by President Obama to direct the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the Department of State, Ambassador CdeBaca serves as a Senior Advisor to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and leads the United States’ global fight against contemporary forms of slavery. The Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons develops and implements the State Department’s policy for the protection of trafficking victims, prosecution of traffickers, and prevention of trafficking.
