U.S. Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Rashad Hussain, will travel to Bamako, Mali from November 3rd-4th to speak at the launch the U.S. partnership with the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) on maternal and child health. He also will meet with government officials, local religious leaders, and NGOs to discuss the President’s framework for engaging Muslim communities around the world.
Mr. Hussain was appointed by President Obama on February 13, 2010 as Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). As Special Envoy to the OIC, Mr. Hussain seeks to deepen and expand the partnerships that the United States has pursued with Muslims around the world.
